Lincoln School Screening at Muskingum University

October 24 @ 11:00 am 12:00 pm

Ohio Humanities’ documentary, the Lincoln School Story will be screening at Muskingum University!

The film tells the inspiring story of a group of courageous African American mothers’ fight for school integration in 1954 in the town of Hillsboro, Ohio. Their lawsuit against the school board was one of the first test cases of the historic Brown v. Board of Education decision. Despite segregationist redistricting, cross burnings, job losses and legal threats, they marched for two years in one of the longest sustained civil rights marchers in American history.
