The 2024 Heritage Ohio Annual Conference is in Newark this year, from October 15 to October 17! The theme this year is “World Heritage throughout the Heartland,” in recognition of the recent UNESCO World Heritage designation of various sites throughout Ohio.

Chief Billy Friend, of the Wyandot Nation, will present the opening keynote address, which will focus on the recently named UNESCO World Heritage Hopewell Mounds in Newark, and the conflicted history of preservation of Native American history in Ohio.
