Humanities Kansas: “Beyond Brown: Mexican Struggles for Equality Before and After Brown v. Board”

Humanities Kansas is also hosting a series of programming celebrating the 70th anniversary of Brown v. Board of Ed!

Dr. Valerie Mendoza, historian and adviser at Kansas City Kansas Community College, will look at the ways the Latino communities banded together to fight discrimination and demand equal protection under the law, focusing special attention on Kansas examples.
