Two thousand years ago Ohio was the epicenter of a flourishing and sophisticated cultural outpouring. The visionary Hopewell era peoples have moved on but their presence remains with us. From them we have inherited a landscape rich in knowledge and meaningful traditions. Today we are still discovering the depth of their engineering expertise, their artistic brilliance, and their influential spiritual worldview.

Please join us in recognizing and appreciating the Peoples who designed and developed the ceremonial sites we now call the Newark Earthworks, two locations in the upcoming UNESCO World Heritage site, the Hopewell Ceremonial Earthworks.
